Ocean Trek, Feb 2009  

Well on the 6th of Feb 2009 the Narki Gnome’s convene at their usually place of business, in a pub by the ocean. We grab a quick feed and a few cold ones go down smoothly. I get a call from Lyn to organise a pick up time and by 8:30pm sharp everybody is on the dock with the gear laid out neatly. Far cry from any club day boat dive. Truk Lagoon, July 2008  

During the chilly winter, 15 Narki Gnomes ventured far away to relax in a stunning tropical resort in Truk Lagoon, where coconuts were almost as scare as the bananas and no cyclones were on the menu. It was there in the heart of Micronesia they explored the thrilling 'marus' beneath warm, clear water in wreck divers heaven. Some were challenged by the enormity of their first wreck dives, while others challenged by the absence of their catch bags. Friendships formed; with dive guides deaf and navigationally gifted; with animals of notable physique; and with locals well versed on the beneficial uses of their locally grown fauna. The bond between the ‘A team’, ‘Mongrel,’ and ‘Pop’s boat’ was obvious as they returned with inflight pillow fights, and commitments to return. They all took away lasting memories and of course many photos, some more than they realised……thank you for joining M on this unforgettable adventure!
